If you make your living with a commercial driver’s license, you might be required by your DOT medical examiner to take a sleep apnea test as part of your medical certification.  If your sleep test reveals that you do suffer from sleep apnea, you can still drive, but you will be required to use a CPAP device while sleeping.  In addition to using a CPAP while sleeping, you will be required to provide compliance reports, which documents for your DOT physician that you have been using the device as instructed.
